At the end of the 17th century it was built as a Baroque Hunting Lodge.
Then in the 18th century they added on to it and it became the
imperial residence for Maria Theresa. * 2048 x 1536 * (1.43MB)
Brad & Janka infront Schonbrunn * Janka and I in front of the Palace. We went on a 50min Grand Tour of 40 rooms (no cameras allowed) Words can't describe how amazing it is inside! Mozart played some of his first Symphonies here when he was just 6 years old! And the Baroque room (where they dance etc) is 40 meters long! * 2048 x 1536 * (1.54MB)
Side of Schonbrunn * Side view just outside the Baroque garden (which was closed at the time) * 2048 x 1536 * (1.56MB)
Brad Row of trees * This was taken in the garden at the back of the palace, there are these huge avenues all over the grounds, we did a lot of WALKING!! * 2048 x 1536 * (1.57MB)
Janka & Mum Roundbasin * One of the many fountains in this huge backyard Roman Ruins in the background. * 2048 x 1536 * (1.54MB)

Maze * This is small part of the maze that is harder than it looks, this was taken in the middle and would of taken too many photos to get it in. :-) It's a fraction of its original size though of 3 kilometres!!! And was layed out between 1698 and 1740 and consisted of six sections each with a different design. * 2048 x 1536 * (1.48MB)
Labyrinth * The labyrinth just beyond the grass maze is pretty cool. This is where the bouncing boards are and an assortment of other games like the pole I climbed up. Covers 2,700m2. * 2048 x 1536 * (1.51MB)
Janka on spring boards * One of the puzzels and games in the labyrinth. * 2048 x 1536 * (1.54MB)
