Germany
Date:- 2nd May-5th May 09Another long weekend away in Berlin. The architecture was brilliant and the weather was great. One of the most confusing public transport systems in Europe but we managed not to get lost, much.
Egypt
Date:- 29th Oct-5th Nov 08We spent 7 days on a 5 star Nile cruise which travelled from Luxor to Aswan. We had our own private tour guide throughout the trip who was an Archaeologist, the detailed information he gave about all the sites was incredible.
Hungary - Budapest
Date:- 16th-23rd August 07We went back to Hungary for a week for Janka's grandma's birthday, the Redbull Air Race, and to see a few things we had missed on the other visits. We also got to see some of the meanest lighting storms we have ever experienced.
Spain
Date:- 18th-21st October 08We spent four days in Spain for an extra long weekend break. Apart from the sun it was a lot like England as all the restaurants sold British food and most of the tourists were British. It was a nice break from routine and having a warm sunny day was a pleasant novelty.
Ireland - Dublin
Date:- 21st-23rd July 07Ireland was a long weekend break. The highlight of the trip was definitely the Guinness Brewery and our four star hotel suite. Their accents, coupled with their sense of humour made them very entertaining guides on the bus tour around the city.
